Mrs. Ruth West Avant passed away November 13, 2011.
Mrs. Avant was born in Baldwin County to the late Howard Ira West and Annie Vivian Wilkinson West. Mrs. Avant was also a member of Bellevue Baptist Church in Macon.
Survivors include her brothers, Ralph (Gwen) West of Milledgeville, H. Sibley (Mary Sue) West, and James D. (Helen) West of Vidalia, GA; sister, Alice W. Ryle of Clemmons, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Wade Avant, Sr., her son William “Billy” Wade Avant, Jr ., sister, Martha W. Gladin and brother O.B. West.
