Esther Marie Avants Buff, passed away peacefully at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, on Sunday November 4, 2012. She was born on September 19, 1924 and was 88 years old.
Marie, a loving wife and mother, is survived by her daughters, Gale and husband Gene Hermesch, Alice Buff Templet, Catherine and husband Bill White, Son, Kenneth Buff and wife Kris Buff, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Buff, son, David Buff, great-granddaughter, Jordyn Buff, parents, Alice and John Avants, brothers, James, Norman, and Robert Avants, sisters, Ada Meads, Bessie Shaffett, and Ruby Delatte.
