Edna Louise Saunders Avent, 102, died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at the Graceland Care Center in Oxford. She was a homemaker and the widow of Audley H. Avent. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where she had been actively involved in all areas of the church life.
Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Avent McCormick of Oxford; two grandchildren, Rebecca Louise Morris of Pass Christian and Cary Thomas McCormick of Oxford; eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Audley McCormick.
