Emily Wallace Avent died unexpectedly April 4, 2011, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Born in Birmingham, she lived in Los Angeles, Nashville, TN, and Spokane, WA, before moving to Santa Fe. Her interests included animals, traveling, gardening and cooking.
Survivors include her parents, of Birmingham and of Nashville; three daughters of Spokane and Gabrielle and Sophia Avent,} plus sister Mary all of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; half-brother Clayton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

April McKay Arnold born April 9th, 1956, passed from this earth and transitioned to Heaven on September 25, 2021, after a very brave and courageous battle with Covid-19.
Growing up proudly in Hillyard, she attended Rogers High School. She spent her younger years out of the carnival her family owned, ‘McKay Shows.’ April then attended Spokane Community College for nursing, serving as a registered nurse at Holy Family hospital, enjoying caring for others.
She met her soulmate Fred ‘Skip’ Arnold in 2000, and married shortly after. Together they raised a total of 7 beautiful children. April was a beam of light that could talk to anyone, anywhere. She loved gardening, quilting, anything sparkly - and her family.
In most recent years she could be found on the road traveling from state to state with her husband, Skip. Loved for her big heart and her thoughtfulness - she will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to be touched with her kindness and warmth.
She is survived by ‘her world,’ Skip Arnold, 7 children May Avent-Arnold, Carla Hanna and husband Michael Hanna, Paul Mcnutt, Fred Arnold and Wife Abigail Arnold, Katie Blanchette and husband Jake Blanchette and Lee Mcnutt along with 9 grandchildren - Adrienne, Kody, Alexis, Nicole, Freddy, Kaitlyn, Cotton, Jackson, and Piper. This does not include all the friends and family near and dear.
She is predeceased by her son, Luke Mcnutt; her brother Doug McKay, mother Kathleen McKay and father Robert McKay.
