Eudora has a very interesting family relationship.
Shortly after Eudora Bonaparte Alexander married Chesley Aven, her mother died. Not too long after that her father, Nelson Alexander, married Eudora's husband's twin sister, Elizabeth Aven Smith, whose first husband had died.
For Chesley, the result of this tangled situation was that his father-in-law was also his brother-in-law. For Nelson, his son-in-law was also his brother-in-law. For Eudora, her sister-in-law was also her step-mother.
