Ann Reynolds Avent of Raleigh passed away June 5, 2018, following a period of declining health. She was 88.
Born in Merry Oaks, NC to Clara and Leamon Reynolds, she moved to Raleigh in the 1950s where she remained. She retired from the NC Department of Health and Human Services (formerly The State Board of Health), before a second career at Rex Hospital, where she worked until age 80.
Ann was a longtime church and choir member at Ridge Road Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Garland Avent and is survived by her daughter Marie Kiriazes (Ken) of Zebulon, son Tony Avent (Anita) of Juniper Level, and brother John Reynolds (Patsy) of Graham.
