Sarah Avants LaRue Cannon, 85, died Saturday at her McAlester home. Mrs. Cannon was born April 14, 1904 at Scipio. She was a seamstress.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and Roy Crumb, Keota, a step-daughter, Betty Merchant, Oklahoma City, 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Harry and Virgina LaRue, McAlester, and Franklin D. and Carolyn LaRue, of Dallas, Tx, two sisters, Francis Fry, McAlester, and Willie Blansett, Harrison, AR, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth LaRue, Row LaRue, Jeff LaRue, Pete Manschrech, Charles Week and Jimmy Fry.
