He is survived by his wife, Lynda; children, Donna Sivley, Kim Bowden, John S. Avon, III, Traci Stephenson, Bonnie Longclaws, Trina Whitlock, Craig Whitlock And Brian Whitlock; 17 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Sue Brown, Sara Loughney and Mary Jane Linn and his brother, Tommy Avon.
