Carolyn Avent Shoemaker, 43, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1998, at the North Mississippi Medical Center.
She was a native of Eupora and a resident of Cedar Bluff since 1985. She was a licensed practical nurse, working at both the Care Inn Nursing Home in West Point and for Dr. William Billington in West Point. She was a member of the Maben Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Phillips Arthur Shoemaker of Cedar Bluff; her parents, Billie McCoy and Jimmie Lollar Avent of Cedar Bluff; her grandfather, Jim Tom Lollar of Eupora.
Pallbearers will be Martin Gardner, Bob Lee, John Ed Hooper, Travis Summerall, Percy Thornton and Timothy Collum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Charles Montgomery, Dr. William Billington, Bobby Black, John Ed McCormick and Richard James.
