Jeanette Avent Savage age 83, dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008 at a local nursing home.
She was a native of Fruitdale, Alabama, and was born April 30, 1925. She graduated from Fruitdale High School in 1942 and attended Business School after graduation.
She was employed under Civil Service at Brookley A.F. B. in Mobile, Alabama for seven years and with McKenzie, Hudson, and Gilliard CPA until her retirement.
She was a member of Deer Park United Methodist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Sharon Odom Ashley, Shirlee Odom (Bob) Gray and Sheila Frances Odom, seven grandchildren, Mara Beebe (Tom) Abernathy, Stephanee D. (Cliff) Harris, Pamela Beebe (Rob) Howard, Stacee J. (Robert) McKenzie, James E. (Jeanne) Sealy Jr., William A. (Lindy) Beebe, David M. Beebe, seven great-grandchildren, Taylor A. Howard, Clifford L. Harris IV, Anna M. Abernathy, Brianna C. Sealy, Joel T. Abernathy, Benjamin D. Abernathy, Avery B. Howard, brother James W. Avent, many friends and family.
