Mrs. Virginia (Ginger) Avent Vukov, 44, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Lawrence W. Avent of Greensboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at her home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at First Presbyterian Church, Myrtle Beach, S.C., where she was a member.
Mrs. Vukov was born in Richmond, Va., and spent most of her early years in Wilson. She was a graduate of Wake Forest University and held a masters degree from the Citadel, Charleston.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vukov is survived by her husband, Dr. Gary Vukov; two sons, Byran and Ben of the home; sister, Mrs. Ashley Scholer of Beaufort, S.C.; and several uncles, nieces and nephews.

Dr. Vukov received his B.A. from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina and his M.D from Bowman Gary School of Medicine, Winston Salem, North Carolina. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Worcester Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. His fellowship in Gastroenterology was obtained at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.
