Mr. Porter was born May 4, 1957 in Natchez, MS to Billy and Aline Avants Porter. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
He enjoyed fishing, watching his girls play ball, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Porter.
Survivors are his wife of 32 years, Annie Hart Porter; daughters, Marley Porter and husband Dustin of Bogue Chitto, MS, and Josie Claire Porter of Bogue Chitto, MS; mother, Aline Avants Porter of Bogue Chitto, MS; grandchild, Holden Vance Porter; brother, Dirk Porter of Bogue Chitto, MS; sisters, Mona Lisa Porter Fauver and husband Robert of Bogue Chitto, MS, and Greta Porter Richardson and husband Kevin of Bogue Chitto, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
