Misc. Notes
Bobbye Cazort Kenney of Little Rock passed from this life on the morning of October 26, 2021, at Presbyterian Village.
She was 89. Bobbye was born in Oppelo, Arkansas on July 28, 1932, to the late James C. and Blanche M. (Wood) Avants.

She spent many years as a homemaker, providing for the needs of her husband and children. Her passion for cooking led her to fulfill her dream of owning a restaurant. She opened Scallions Restaurant in the Heights, which she operated until her retirement. In addition to cooking, Bobbye enjoyed collecting cookbooks and recipes from around the world and was an avid reader.
In earlier years, she enjoyed working in her garden. Mrs. Kenney will always be remembered for her wonderful homecooked meals, her inviting warm nature, and her ability to make others feel comfortable and loved. Although she accomplished many things in her life, she was always most proud of her family.

In addition to her parents, Bobbye was preceded in death by her husband, James Francis Kenney, and sister, Betty McMinn.

Left to mourn her passing are her children, Brad Cazort (Susan), Tina Cazort-Camp (Shawn Camp), William Cazort, Carolyn Frankie, all of Little Rock, and Celia Cazort Barton of Houston, TX. Other survivors include grandchildren, Amanda L. Cazort (Brendan McInerey) and Kathryn Kitchens (Kevin) of Little Rock, Christy Pellerin (Brian) of Kennewick, WA, Lee (Suzy) Cazort of Cordova, TN and Cynthia Kelly, Menlo Park, CA; siblings, Buddy Avants (Betty) of Russellville and Nick Avants (Shelba) of Little Rock, along with a host of extended family and friends.

Bobbye was the mother her three children needed. Her deep desire for children of her own drove her to devote her love and attention toward those who needed it most. Her children always knew they were loved from beginning to end. The strong family bonds she fostered live on in her memory.
