Mr. Eugene M. Wilson, age 86, entered the Church Triumphant on November 19, 2015 in Columbia, S.C. He died at home after a long illness. He was the son of the late Brular and Della Lemons Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was born in Draper, N.C. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of High Point University. He spent most of his career in pharmaceutical sales, retiring from Merrell Dow Pharmaceutical. He was an active member of Grace UMC in North Augusta for almost 30 years.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Billie Hodges and Mildred Jones, and a brother, Brular, Jr. of Eden, N.C.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann Perry Wilson, of Columbia, S.C., a son, Lee (Jenny) Wilson of Graniteville, S.C; daughters, Lynn (Brent) Nichols of Pomaria, S.C., and Susan Wilson of Columbia, S.C.; five grandchildren, Katie (David) Gates of Orlando, FL., Parker Wilson of Aiken, S.C., David Nichols of Greenville, S.C., Andrew Nichols and Elizabeth Nichols of Pomaria, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Landen Gates, a sister, Mary Ann Powell of Greensboro, N.C. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandpa Gene thought the world of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed for his large personality, fun loving sense of humor, and devotion to his family.
