In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Ralph Myers; four brothers; and one sister.

On 5th of September 1996, a little after midnight, a small airplane was attempting to land at the Corsicana Airport which is only half a mile from the end of the runway to their house. The plane stalled and crashed in the Myers’ front yard. Firetrucks and sheriff deputies were rushed to the site with sirens screaming and lights flashing.
Well, Max and Kathaleen were hard of hearing and were not aware of the crash until Max went to the front door of their mobile home in the morning to get the newspaper. To say the least they were very surprised!
