Bertha Hood, 80, of Mooreville, died July 7, 1982 at the Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Alabama. Services were July 9 at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home chapel with burial in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Lake Village, Ark.; three sons, Billy Hood of Frostproof, Fla., Bobby Hood of Birmingham, Ala., and Tommy Hood of Star City, Ark.; five brothers, Jim Funderburk of Mantachie, Raymond Funderburk of Mobile, Ala., Flavis Funderburk of St. Louis, Missouri, Hemmon Funderburk of Laurel, and Beevil Funderburk of Jacksonville, Tenn.; 34 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

He was a member of the Church of Christ at Piney Grove. He was a son of the late Harris and Lydia Hood.
