Misc. Notes
Patricia (Pat) Kerley Fisher passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Saturday July 25, 2015 after a courageous fight with cancer.

She was born in Castlepollard, County Westmeath, Republic of Ireland on March 18, 1955 and was of the Catholic faith. The village's official Irish name is Baile na gCros, meaning "town of the cross". She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School, and Pearl River Community College. As a registered Respiratory Therapist, Pat dedicated her life to caring for others in hospitals across South Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ward Anderson Fisher, III and her parents, William L. (Bill) and JoAnn C. Kerley.

She is survived by her two daughters, Joanna M. Fisher and Jennifer M. Fisher (Chris Nickell). Her two girls were the greatest loves of her life. Survivors include her brother, W. Joseph Kerley (Melissa) and her sister Elizabeth K. (Beth) LaFleur (Charles), her nephew Paul A. LaFleur (Abby) and her niece Leilan LaFleur Falter (Timothy). Others include her mother-in-law, Margaret Fisher and sister-in-law, Anna F. Hood (Ken), along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pat was an active member of the Hattiesburg Historic Neighborhood Association and the Hattiesburgers in Paradise Parrot Head Club. In later years, her greatest joys were the friendships she formed with fellow Parrot Heads and area musicians who kept the song in her life. She was honored with the "Parrot Head of the Year" award in 2013. These friends sustained Pat and her daughters during the years, and especially during her battle with cancer. Her family extends their deepest gratitude to each and every one of these friends.
