Doris T. "Dot" Bandy, 91, passed away, on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Dugan Memorial Home, in West Point.

Jessie Doris Bandy was born July 16, 1921 in Montpelier, Mississippi to the late Earl McGee Thompson and Thomas Jefferson Thompson.

She started her working career as candy wrapper for Carter Candy Company. After the war she worked with her husband at Dairyland Feed and Seed until it burned in 1962. Next she put her skills to work filling vending machines for Bandy Candy at Babcock and Wilcox Company and other locations. Before retiring she kept books for D & B Auction and other auctioneers all over Mississippi and Alabama. To stay busy after retirement she worked with her daughter at D & B Furniture until she was 88.

Mrs. Bandy was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda B. Hood of Houston, TX, Bernice B. Isaacs (Gene) of Tucson, AZ, Doris Ann Mitchell (Roy) of West Point; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Darrell Thompson and two sisters, Clara L. Simmons, and Othell Moseley.

Pallbearers will be John D. Hood, Thomas Werstlein, John Isaacs, Kevin Mitchell, John Hall, and Steve Moseley.
