Camille Hood Riley, 83, of Waco went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 27, 2020.

She was born to the late Cameron and Margaret Hood of Belzoni, MS, May 8, 1937. She is preceded in death by her sister Margaret Hood Coleman. She graduated from Belzoni High School in 1955 then attended Baylor University. She married the late Gordon Lee Riley in August 1958.

Camille is survived by her three children, four grandchildren and one sister.

Camille (Skip) had many passions from riding horses, sports, organizing events, entertaining, cooking, playing dominoes. She especially loved playing board games and golfing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, especially to their mountain home in Angel Fire, NM.

She was actively involved with the Waco Symphony Women’s Council Horse Show, her church and Young Life. She was one of the Golden Girls, from the Belzoni High School Class of 1955, a group of girls all born in 1937, who have stayed in touch throughout their entire lives having reunions around the country.

Gordon Lee Riley, 80, of Waco, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 8, 2013.

He was born to the late Rev. Ray and Ruby (Short) Riley, April 9, 1933, in Pampa, Texas.

Gordon graduated from Quitaque High School in 1951 and he played football and received a BA in Business from Baylor University Waco in 1955.

He served as Captain in the U.S. Air Force.

He married Camille Hood Riley in 1958 and they lived together in Waco. Gordon was the owner of Gordon Riley Insurance Agency, Inc. since 1961. He was a member of Independent Insurance Agents of Texas and an active member of the Waco community. Gordon was a former member of Deacon of First Baptist Church, Highland Baptist Church.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Camille Hood Riley, their three children: Kimberly Kay Riley of Austin, Elizabeth Teal Riley of Brenham, and Cameron Lee Riley of Waco. He is survived by four grandchildren, Brandon and Brittany Riley and Andrew and Katherine Rollins; his brother, Harold Riley; nephews, Rick Riley, Randall Riley, Ray Riley of Austin; and niece, Jana Riley of Paige, Texas.
