Misc. Notes
"Bradley of Essex County, Early Records: 1643 to 1746", compiled by Eleanor Bradley Peters, 1915; pg. 41 - "

Daniel Bradley was born in England. He came to America on the ship " Elizabeth" from London 6 April 1635 at age 20. He was in Ipswich in 1636 & settled in Haverhill, Massachusetts & was made a freeman in 1642. He assisted in building the first meeting house.

In May 1664, he bought the house and land in Haverhill adjoining the "parsonage farm".

1689 Aug 13 Daniel Bradley was killed by the Indians on the Parsonage Rd. (not far from the present Atkinson station of the Boston & Maine Railroad). The Indians then went to the field of Nathaniel Singletary nearby where he and his oldest son were at work; they shot Singletary and took the son prisoner, but he managed to escape later."
