Robert was born on February 05, 1955, to Floyd and Iva Hood in Memphis, TN.
Mr. Hood was an avid sports fan, when he wasn't watching the Chicago Cubs or Dallas Cowboys, he was taking care of the stair steps (his grandkids). He was a family man who never went without letting everyone know how much he loved them. He always got a kick out of people mistaking him for a WWE wrestler but if you knew him, he was a gentle giant. He loved watching his westerns and teaching the grandbabies all he could about them. So much so, that they all have a fond memory of never watching cartoons at papaw's house, just westerns. He was always about the grandbabies whether it was about respect or how to have a better batting stance. He will be missed dearly by all his family and leaves a hole in each one of their hearts.
Robert leaves behind his wife Ellen of 22 years, Children; Lynn (Joshua) Bible, Danielle "Sissy" (Patrick) Osborn, April (Joshua "Bird" Jones Reed, Zachary "Bud" (Megan Allen) Hood; Grandchildren, Zachary Bible, Tristan Bible, Chad Bible, Hailie Brown, Ryleigh Tucker, Jacob Bible, Leah Hedge, Ava Osborn, Kendall Jones, Aubree Cole. Great-Grandchild; Elizabeth Bible, Siblings; Larry (Bertha) Hood, Jeff (Elaine) Hood & a host of nieces & nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.
