Jessie Scarbrough Brooks, 87, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 1998, at Life Care Center of Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Ga. She was born April 19, 1911, in Webster County.
She taught 25 years in the Webster County School System before retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Eupora.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary Scarbrough Martin of Moss Point and Sue Scarbrough Adams of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Jim Scarbrough of Norcross, Ga.; one sister, Mary Ethel Hood Ellison of Hazelhurst, Ga.; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.
