Mrs. Elaine Stevens Ray, 74, passed away, on Monday, February 20, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Elaine S. Ray was born September 6, 1937, in the Mississippi Delta to Mattie Lee Prestridge Stevens and Wade Stevens and she was a machine operator for Artex International for over 30 years. Elaine
Stevens Ray was a member of First Pentecostal Church. She loved working outside in her yard and with her flowers. Elaine Stevens Ray married Willie Louie Ray May 5, 1956, in Eupora, Mississippi.
Survivors include her Husband Willie L. Ray; her daughter, Linda Gail Koleski (Don) and her son, Thomas W. Ray all of West Point, MS; three grandchildren, Chelsey Byrd (Chris), Madison Ray, and Brandi Smith. Six great grandchildren; Ronnie Kay Byrd, Justin Byrd, Zack Byrd, Cody Traylor, Casey Traylor, and Carey Traylor. Her sisters, Betty Hamby (Eddie) of Hamilton, MS.
Those preceding Elaine Stevens Ray in death were her grandson, Jacob Ray and her brother, Carl Stevens.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Busby, Randy Rico, James Rico, Michael Ray, Wayne Ray, and Eddie White.
