Erma Wilson Kothe, 98, of Bellefontaine entered into rest on April 8, 2006, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.

She was born Feb. 27, 1908, in the Bluff Springs community, Webster County, to the late Everette J. Hood and Dora Lewis Hood. After graduating from Eupora High School, she married the Rev. J.V. Wilson.

She was a homemaker and a helpmate to her husband, who started the J.V. Wilson Leather Co. in Bellefontaine and served as pastor to several Southern Baptist churches in Calhoun, Choctaw and Webster counties. She loved growing flowers and often decorated her church with them.

After her first husband's death, she married Henry E. Kothe. They made their home in Bellefontaine and were faithful members of Fellowship Baptist Church. They were blessed to live together for 19-1/2 years before his death.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; her only son, Joe H. Hood; her only granddaughter, Scotti Wilson Doler; and two sisters, Zephye M. Crutchfield and husband, Johnnie Crutchfield; and Katie L. Hodges and husband, Earl Hodges.

Her survivors include one daughter-in-law, Margaret W. Wilson of Bellefontaine; one grandson, the Rev. Randy J. Wilson and wife, Gwen B. Wilson, of Bellefontaine; one grandson-in-law, Dr. Jon C. Doler of Leland; six great-grandchildren, Andrea Doler Clanton and husband, Melvin S. Clanton, of Grenada, J. Scott Doler of Delta State, Cleveland, Jondelyn Doler of Leland, Rachel E. Wilson of University of Mississippi, Emily D. Wilson of Florida State University, Tallahassee, and Arey Wilson of Bellefontaine; one great-great-grandson, Jackson C. Clanton of Grenada; and one sister, Pat Humphries and husband, the Rev. Joe T. Humphries, of Powder Springs, Ga.

Pallbearers serving were Melvin S. Clanton, J. Scott Doler, James H. Evans, Joe C. Evans, James A. Knight, Thomas E. Latham and Rufus Marter.
