Birdie M. "Aunt Birdie" Hood Crowell, 94, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, at Webster Health Long Term Care in Eupora. She was born in Webster County. She was a retired employee of Wells Lamont Glove Co. and a member of Bellefontaine Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Shed Hill Crowell.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Wise-Nowell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Humphries, the Rev. Willie Weddle and Dr. William S. Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Webster Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one daughter, Hilda C. Bridges of Eupora; one son, Robert L. Crowell of Walthall; two sisters, Jessie Brooks of Eupora and Mary Ethel Ellison of Hazelhurst, Ga.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Purvis F. Crowell.
