Jack Preston Harris, a native of Warrenville, was a son of the late William and Alberta Pledger Harris. He had lived in the Aiken area most of his life. He had retired as an electrician and was a musician, singer and songwriter. He was an Army veteran and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Grice Harris; a son, Jimmy Dimsdale, Columbia; three daughters, Sandra Irby, Trenton, Mary Helen Jeffers, Lexington, and Betty Ann Sturkie, Leesville; two brothers, Edward ''Bo'' Harris, Graniteville, and Wallace Harris, Aiken; and nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
