He served in the military in 1782 in Bedford Co., VA. Christopher Slinker was a patriot during the American Revolutionary War.

He is listed in Court Order Book #7, Bedford County, VA, page 17, December 1782, as furnishing troops with forage for which he is allowed 8 pence 9 shillings. Christopher Slinker furnished for the use of Continental soldiers on their march to rendezous, three bushels of meal and twelve bundles of fodder.
