Survivors include her loving husband, Winston Everette Merrill, and beloved children, Deborah Kay Merrill of Aiken and David Wayne Merrill of Lexington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Ruth Powell, and a brother, Charlie William Lyday.

Winston E. Merrill, 87, husband of the late Christine Lyday Merrill, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at Harbor Chase of Aiken.
A native of Henderson County, NC, Winston was a son of the late Otis Carl and Nellie Shipman Merrill. He was a veteran of the United States Army in Korea. He retired from DuPont at the Savannah River Plant and was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Kay Merrill, Aiken and a son, David Wayne Merrill, Lexington, SC.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lucille Ethel Merrill Zellman.
