Misc. Notes
Born in Ireland during the recovery stage from the devastating effects of the Cromwellian era. King Charles II had been restored to the throne in 1660, but the religious - political conflicts that had pitted Protestant against Catholic had left an mark on the land and the people of Northern Ireland.

Where the Allins (Allen) stood in all the religious upheavals, is questionable. Robert Allin's departure in 1690, just on the eve of a Protestant victory, would seem to be a clue, possibly, to his Catholic or Jacobite connection.

Robert traveled to the New World, with a future of freedom for himself and his descendants.

Sailed to America on the vessel " Charles", apprenticed to a cabinetmaker.
