Mrs. Mary Annette Malone of Sharpsburg (formerly of Roanoke, VA) passed away October 1, 2017.
She was born at her grandparents home in Warrenville, SC and grew up in East Point, GA. Mrs. Malone graduated from Russell High School in 1955. She played softball and basketball at South Fulton Park.
She started her career at the Atlanta Journal Constitution, then she moved onto the accounting department at Norfolk Southern where she retired and was a member of the National Association of Railroad Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents, JD and Rosebud Wallace; brothers, Jimmy Wallace and Donnie Wallace and sister-in-law, Carolyn Wallace.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Epps and her husband Ronald of Sharpsburg; son, Jay Malone and his wife Jenny of Roanoke, VA; sister, Dorothy Gardiner Smith and her husband Tony of Sharpsburg; sisters-in-law, Libby Wallace of Zebulon; Gail Wallace of Sharpsburg; brother, Bill Wallace of East Point; grandchildren, Jeremy Epps; Alison Epps and Janna Malone and many much loved nieces and nephews who knew her lovingly as Aunt Net.
