Misc. Notes
Born before 1716 since he had to be at least 21 years in 1737 when he received a warrant.

Married circa 1740 in Lancaster County to Annisbelle McNabb, daughter of Andrew and Ann McNabb.  On 9 May 1750, Oliver of Hopewell township executed a mortgage to Richard Petes of ten pounds, lawful money, on a tract of "one hundred acres or more, on Conodoguinet Creek, opposite the mouth of Middle Spring Creek.” This was paid off in 1760. Thereafter, it seems that he and his father, James, lived in Cumberland county until 1763 when they moved to North Carolina.

On 17 Mar 1756, James purchased 300 acres on the South Fort of Fishing Creek, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, (Mecklenburg County Book 1, page 455).

On 6 Nov 1766, James and Oliver witnessed a deed from Janes and Jean Hanna to John Wallace of 300 acres on South Fort of Fishing Creek (Mecklenburg 1-399).  On 14 Nov 1767 James conveyed 300 acres to son Oliver, which James had purchased from Harden in 1764.
