Ruzelle Gardiner Chambers, 94, of 195 Alps Road, Athens, Georgia, a child of the King, departed this life to begin an eternity with Him on Friday, May 5, 2000.
A native of Banks County, Georgia, Mrs. Chambers was the daughter of the late Fred and Alice Ward Gardner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrus Vinson Chambers, and a son, Mitchell Chambers. She was a longtime member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by two sons, Alfred Chambers and Dwain Chambers, both of Athens; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
