The body of Allen V. Cromeans, who gave his life as a hero in France on Sept. 6, 1944, arrived in New York being brought back for re-interment. He served in the Medical Corps in the 80th Infantry Division.
In addition to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Cromeans, he leaves six brothers and three sisters. The brothers are: Ellis, Ardie, Flavis, Arnold, Price and Zeak; sisters are: Mizie Thomas, Bulah Devaughn and Lula Bell Riley.
He will be given a military funeral with the Itawamba American Legion Post No. 51 in charge at Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
