Benjamin Latimer, (AKA Benjamin Solomon Latimer), was a prominent churchman, member of Durham Parish. The old church where he was senior warden is still standing in Charles County, Maryland below LaPlatte. His oath of allegiance to Maryland is registered there and in Court records Book No. 3 p649. His estate settlement is recorded in Liber A.H. No.9 folio 435 et sez. also folio 72 et seq. He owned "Arlington Hall" and "Green Chase". Deed Book S. p327 Oct 4, 1772.

Took the Oath of Allegiance in 1778 [Ref: AA-641]. Benjamin Latimer was born on June 14, 1743, married Louisa "Cazey" (AKA Louisa Arcajah McConchie), and died on May 5, 1785
