Myrle L. "Bud" Kaiser, 87, of Keokuk, died Friday, January 23, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa.

He was born November 19, 1916 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Elizabeth Stark Kaiser. He married Anna Riney on September 23, 1940 in Marshalltown, Iowa. She survives.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. He had been employed as maintenance foreman at Hubinger Company for 37 years, retiring in 1980. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member and Past Master of Keokuk Lodge #29, A.F. & A.M. and American Legion Post #41. He was a past member of International Musicians Union and played in the "Bud Kaiser Band", McNamara's Band, and area combos.

He is survived by his wife, Anna of Keokuk; two sons, Mike Kaiser and his wife, Sally, of Annapolis, Maryland and Doug Kaiser and his wife, Cathy, of Keokuk; four grandchildren, Amanda Kaiser of Warsaw, Illinois, Jamie Kaiser of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Amy Daniels of Annapolis, Maryland and Michael Kaiser of Annapolis, Maryland; four great grandchildren; twin sister, Marjorie Jobe and her husband, Raymond, of Keokuk; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister in infancy.

Private graveside services and burial were held at Keokuk National Cemetery with Dr. David Castrodale officiating.
