Misc. Notes
Jim passed away peacefully on July 03, 2021, due to his nearly 3-year battle with terminal brain cancer (Glioblastoma). Jim was a father, husband, and friend to many.
In his career, he served as a seasoned master electrician, member, teacher, business agent, and President of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union 68 (Denver, CO). In 2004, Jim became an electrical contractor and served as President of Denver-based Guarantee Electric. As Jim's career expanded it lead him to overseas opportunities. Jim retired in 2019 after 12 years as Program Manager in overseas and state-side work for contracted government operations.

His friends, family, and colleagues will always remember him for his extraordinary knowledge and humorous one-liners that provided laughter and joy to those around him. He was admired and regarded as a kind, loving, and altogether exceptional human being.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Janice Riney; his loving and caring daughters Brady and Jillian Riney who Jim couldn't have been any prouder of. He is remembered by them as a quick-to-humor, country music-loving, pickup truck driving, civil war history buff, one-of-a-kind father who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He remains in memory as a caring brother to Steve Riney. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Willa-Faye, father, Max, and his brothers Dennis and Roger Riney.
