FULTON - James Talmage Crane, 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov. 17, 1924, in Hamilton, Ala., to the late Ephrem L. and Sarah Helen Burleson Crane.

He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps with 23 years of service. He earned the Bronze Star, Combat Action Ribbon, Presidential Unit Citation, Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. He enjoyed yard work.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Deaton, Bro. Mike Haynes and Bro. Doyle Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Helen Haynes Crane of Fulton; two daughters, Pat Dulaney and husband, Duford, and Jeanne Wallace, all of Fulton; three grandchildren, Allison Beard and husband, Mark, Dana Harper and husband, David, and David James Dulaney and wife, Shelly; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Dossett, Hanna, Savanna and Levi Harper, and Chip, Darrian and Dylan Dulaney; special friends, Jessica, Stephanie and Katie of Heart to Heart Hospice.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers and his stepmother, Ora Butler Crane.

Pallbearers will be Max Bryant, Paul Bryant, Chris Hysaw, Johnny Parks, David Harper and Doyle Dulaney.
