Doris Faye Chaney, 64, died March 19 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson after a brief illness.

Born Dec. 27, 1939 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Cleveland Wesley and Ruby Bell Miller Maxey. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Cleveland Junior Maxey. She was a lifelong resident of the Parham community where she attended public schools.

A member of New Hope Baptist Church, she was a seamstress for Amory Garment Co. until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking and her family. She had been married to Murley Camp and Daley Chaney.

Survivors include her son, Neal Camp and his wife, Amanda, of Tupelo; three daughters, Sara Lewis and her husband, Doug, Patricia Box and her husband, Donald, and Lisa Tubb, all of Amory; three brothers, James Maxey and his fiancee, Margie, of Amory, Robert Maxey and his wife, Florence, of Evergreen, and Ruble Maxey and his wife, Dianne, of Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren, Richard Box, Candace Box, Brooke Box, Mark Lewis, April Lewis, Brittany Chaney, Alexis Tubb, Keri Camp, Meghan Camp, Tiffany Cobb, Danielle Sewart, Olivia Johnson and Amber Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson Lewis and Destiny Cobb.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Capps, Pete Jenkins, Donald Kimbrough, Clovis Ford, Bobby Edwards and Jimmy Umfress.
