Born August 13, 1960, in Amory, he is the son of Henry Grady Wright and the late Mary Mildred Schumpert Wright.
He was pastor of Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church for the past 25 years. He was Chairman of the Home Mission Board and had served on the Trinity Youth Camp Board and ALCAP Board. He was a former Chairman of the Acts 1:8 Committee, and he served 11 years as Chaplin of Hospice of Northwest Alabama. He loved music, was a trumpet player, and had also been a DJ since he was 15 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Marie Wright of Guin, Ala.; a daughter, Rachel Wright Jones (Jacob) of Winfield, Ala.; a son, Matthew Wright of Guin, Ala.; a granddaughter, Ada Rose Jones; father, Henry Grady Wright of Amory; sister-in-law, Brenda Coggins of Amory; brother-in-law, Kenny Isbell of Guin, Ala.; nephew, Chad Jones and family; and nieces, Chasity Galloway and family, Mandy Lindsey and family and Leah Higginbotham and family.
