Reuben George, husband of Mildred Rogers George, was born in Culpepper County, Va. and died in Pendleton County, now a part of West Va. He served in the American Revolution as a private in Capt. John Gillason's Co. of Col. Edward Steven's 10th Va. Regiment, serving in the battles of Germantown and White Marsh; and was a Sgt. in the 10th Continental Line.
