Zola B. Saffarrans, 93, of Fort Collins, Colorado, formerly of Palmyra, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the Spring Creek Healthcare Center in Fort Collins.
Zola was born January 21, 1919 in Deuel County, Nebraska to George Washington and Carrie May Foster Frickey. Zola was married to Chester G. Saffarrans June 15, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death April 7, 1979.
Mrs. Saffarrans retired from the Carson-Pirie-Scott Department Store in Quincy, Illinois. She was a graduate of Chappell High School in Deuel County and later graduated from Barns Business College in Denver, Colorado. She was an active member of the Loners on Wheels "LOW's" as well as her church senior adult group "Seekers". Zola loved to travel and spend time visiting with family and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Palmyra and attended the Immanuel Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Survivors include: daughters: Loretta Bevill and husband Edward of Philadelphia, Mo.; Linda Lundberg and husband Carl of Fort Collins, CO; grandchildren: Ted Anthony Lundberg of Peoria, AZ; Daniel George Lundberg of Fort Collins; Camelia Smith and Carrie Mae Bevill of Philadelphia, Mo.; Amanda Woodward of Griggsville, IL; great grandchildren: Anthony "Tony" Rolland & Christopher James Lundberg of Peoria, AZ; Aaron Austin Bevill, MacKenzie Smith, and Megan Smith of Philadelphia, Mo.; Thad Neisen of Olathe, KS; Garret and Peyton Woodward of Griggsville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Harry Charles Frickey, Kenneth Lloyd Frickey, Rex Delbert Frickey, Elva LoRene Frickey-Reed, and Leland Dale "Bud" Frickey.
