John Bozman was a plantation owner, the Somerset Coroner and High Sheriff and a member of the Lower House of the Maryland Assembly. He also was Justice of Peace and Presiding Justice.
At time of his first election he owned at least 400 acres. At will probate (Sept 26, 1716) his personal property was valued at 230.25 pounds including 5 slaves, 1 servant, and books. He owned four tracts of land of unspecified acreage. He had given at least 400 acres to two of his sons in 1711.
