Andries being in the New World was 1638 when he was the "upper boatswain" on the
KEY OF CALMAR with Pieter Minuit (brother of Lizabeth Minuit and brother -in-law to her husband Jan Andries Huyck). Also on board was Hendrick Huygen. Son of Jan Andries Huyck and his first wife Sybille Raet.( sister of Pieter Minuits wife.)He also had some linguistic fluency as he was used an interpreter with the Native Americans.
