Peggy McKee Gillon, 83, passed away on Oct. 2, 2008, at her home in Gore Springs 
after a lengthy illness. 
She was the daughter of the late Lonnie McKee and Zena Hood Clark.
Mrs. Gillon served as the postmaster for the Gore Springs community where she 
and her husband of 61 years, Earl Gillon, farmed and reared their family. She 
was a charter member of Gore Springs Baptist Church where she taught Sunday 
school and GA's and served as church clerk for 30 years. The church's 50th 
anniversary was dedicated to Mrs. Gillon for her many years of faithful service. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin sons; her brother, 
Kenneth McKee; sister, Martha McKee; daughter, Barbara "Babs" Nelson; 
stepfather, Sherman Clark; and stepmother, Margie McKee. 
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Leo McKee (Kathy) of 
Alma, Ark.; children, Martha Hutson (Jerrell) of Clinton, Peggy Vanwagoner 
(Bruce) of Barrington Hills, Ill., and Bill Gillon (Adrienne) of Germantown, 
Tenn.; son-in-law, Gerald Nelson of Starkville; seven grandchildren and six 
great-grandchildren.
