Cindi Gail Whitaker, 44, of Crossett died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.
A native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and Crossett, she graduated from Hamburg High School in 1977.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Egypt Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star, Hamburg Chapter. She loved making crafts, candles and painting.
She is survived by her husband, Basil Whitaker of Crossett; two sons, Jason Huitt and wife Amanda of Greenville, MS, and Basil Whitaker III of El Dorado; two daughters, Jodi Shields and husband Drew of Hamburg and Sheena Whitaker of El Dorado; her mother, Willa "Stumpy" Swan Ray of Hamburg; a brother, Joe Ray of Hamburg; and a grandson, Jake Huitt.
She was preceded in death by her father, Zan Ray.
Honorary pallbearers were to be Hoss Thomason, Donnie Thomason, Don Kellebrew, Tony Hood, Ollie Austin, Gary Wiscaver, Travis Knight and Randy Smith.
