Misc. Notes
William and Dorothy lived along the Rappahannock River, on land that later became King George County, Virginia. On Oct. 16, 1669, William Strother bought 500 acres along the river and built a two-story brick house overlooking the river. He called his farm "Ferry Farm." That farm was later sold to Augustine Washington, the father of George Washington, and it became part of their family's property.
