Misc. Notes
Charles A. Paulk Jr., 82, of Summit, MS died December 16, 2013 at Courtyard Rehab in McComb.

Mr. Paulk Jr. was born July 1, 1931 in Pike County, MS. He was the son of Charles A. Paulk Sr. and Frances Annetta Little Paulk.

Charles Paulk leaves a legacy of faith, hard work, family and service above self.

He proudly served our country during the Korean War. After serving in Korea, he returned home to follow his father’s footsteps in the construction business. Charles established a successful contracting and construction company which he worked for over 50 years before retiring. He will be long remembered as an ‘old school’ craftsman who took pride in the quality of his work, leaving his mark on hundreds of properties across south Mississippi.

Charles Paulk lived a life of putting others first. He frequently donated his time, talents, and money to numerous local organizations, which included Parklane Academy, where he helped build their first baseball field, MICA Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity, and his church. Then, there was baseball. ‘Coach Paulk’ coached summer league teams for almost years 20 years. He also never missed any of his children or grandchildren’s games.

He was an avid quail hunter who enjoyed countless hours in the fields with his closest friends and prized pointers. And, Charles Paulk was a huge Mississippi State fan. He rarely missed a televised baseball or football game. But, he had no greater love than his love of family. He gave his time and energy without hesitation to his family and always had a big smile for the ‘babies.’ Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and close friends, especially his wife of 29 years Cynthia. They were life partners in every sense of the word. Charles Paulk was an honest, hardworking man who put others first. He touched many. He will be sorely missed.
