Telegrams received here this morning conveyed the sad intelligence of the death at Jackson, Tenn., last night of Mrs. S. P. Little, widow of the late Rev. D. A. Little, for many years a prominent member of the Methodist clergy in this state, and former presiding elder of the Jackson district.
The death occurred at the home of [her daughter, Mrs. Sam Enochs, where she had been visiting for some time, and, while not wholly unexpected, came as a sad shock to many Jackson friends. Mrs. Little was about 63 years of age, and had been in ill health for some time.
She leaves five children, as follows: Mrs. Sam Enochs, Jackson, Tenn.; Mrs. Kelly and Mr. Duncan Little, of this city: Mr. George Little, of Winona; Mr. Chas. Little, of Port Gibson.
The remains will reach Jackson tomorrow, Saturday morning, and thefuneral services will be held at 2 p. m. at the Capitol Street Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Chas. W. Crisler, followed by interment at Cedarlawn cemetery.
