Misc. Notes
Richard Fillingham was transported in either 1651 or 1662 by a Kent/Cecil County, Maryland planter named Thomas Hinson- who transported a number of people in two separate shipments. Richard Fillingham was indentured to Mr. Hinson (for his passage) and at the end of his indenture, received 50 acres of land.
Although no record can be found of Richard's wife, his Will states he wished to be buried on his land, "Arcadia," next to his wife.
Richard assigned Samuel Tovey of Bristol, England as his executor of his estate and left the care of his infant son, Richard Fillingham, Jr..
Note: Mr. Tovey was a lawyer in Maryland. Two churches in Kent and Cecil Counties have records (handwritten and microfilm) of who owned church pews, marriages, births, deaths, etc. It is from this source that the information was obtained relating to John Fillingim/Margaret Money family. One church bought part of the Richard Fillingham's estate, "Arcadia"."
