Julia Redd Demuth, 89 of Hattiesburg, formerly of Gulfport, died Sunday, December 26, 2004 in Hattiesburg.
A native of Brookhaven, MS, she was a graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Junior College and worked for Manning Lumber Co., W. Memphis, AR for 22 years.
Mrs. Demuth moved to Gulfport in 1959 and was employed as the office manager for 25 years for Redd Pest Control. She was currently a member of Kensington Wood Church of Christ in Hattiesburg and a longtime member of Orange Grove Church of Christ. Mrs. Demuth was a generous individual who assisted the elderly, poor, widowed, and anyone else in need of compassion or assistance. Proverbs 31:10-31.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Demuth, Jr.; parents, Levi. L. Redd and Blanche Montgomery Redd; brothers and sisters: J.C. Redd, Nellie Redd, Zelmer Redd, Elmore Redd, Ashley Redd, and Lelie Redd. Survivors include her brother Gordon (Mable) Redd, Sr., Hattiesburg, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
